I have updated financials for my client. How do I upload them?

[Tutorial Video] Updating Client Financials

Updating Client Financials

As an advisor, you can provide new data for your client to produce an updated analysis.

To view what financial periods were used by the platform in the current analysis, click the business name, and then click on the Valuation tab.

When providing updated data, you do not need to re-upload the previous years. Simply upload the data for the new year(s) that you would like to have added in.

In the analysis, the platform will use up to five (5) of most recent fiscal years of data, where available. For example, if you previously uploaded 2017 - 2021 for the first analysis, and then you return to the platform and provide new data for 2022, the new analysis will use the financial periods from 2018-2022. The 2017 year will "drop off" and will not be considered in the analysis.

To provide new data:

1. On the Business Clients tab, you will see a list of your current clients on the interVal platform. Once you have identified the business in your list, click the Actions button and select Upload Files.

2. Follow the on-screen prompts to upload financial data for your client. The platform can accept the following types:

  • Trial Balance Report (CSV or XLS format)
  • Year-End Financial Statements (PDF format)
  • Caseware Trial Balance Export (CVS or XLS format)

4. Once you have attached the files, click the purple Submit Files button.

The data import will be completed within two (2) business days. You will be informed via email once the updated analysis is ready for you to review. If your client has also been invited to the platform, they will be included on the email.
